About the job
The Senior UI Designer is responsible for being an internal advisor to enhance the design element from branding and marketing aspects with a clear focus on the consumer. By conducting research and continuously refining the user experience, this role has an end-to-end responsibility for frontend design from bringing in ideas through ideating, prototyping and user testing to delivering and optimizing features. The ideal candidate has in-depth consumer behavior knowledge and understands how to develop responsive e-Commerce concepts and integrate them across various tools and touchpoints for the Miele brand.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create holistic, excellent user experience concepts across all digital touchpoints & translate these into appealing and modern UI designs representing the premium brand image
- Build effective MVPs, act as a key driver to evaluate their potential and participate in the optimization process until they become best-in-class solutions
- Within cross-functional teams collaborate closely with Frontend Development and IT to ensure technical alignment, best-in-class-performance and consistence, and advise the product manager to redesign and integrate functions in order to enhance and simplify the user experience
- Constantly track UX/UI KPI’s, define actions to steer the digital performance, strongly drive the development of a design system and the creation and compliance of a design styleguide
- Discover customer needs and identify business opportunities by continuous research
About you
YOUR PROFILE
- Ideally university degree in Communication or UX Design or have similar experience within a related field
- Foundational experience working for a premium brand in consumer or FMCG industry, market and (premium) consumer behavior knowledge
- Strong communication and organization skills with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude and experienced in agile ways of working as well as being an assertive team-player with project management skills, international mindset, and fluent business English
- Excellent prototyping and design skills (InVision, Figma, Sketch, Axure, HTML/CSS, etc.) and a deep understanding of new software/web technologies
- Experiences in designing e-Commerce or brand websites with the ability to draw conclusions based on analytic reports and KPI’s in alignment with a creative mindset with the user on top of the mind and premium execution capabilities
