We stumbled across the name Penn&Ink in Brooklyn, New York. This was the brand under which Maureen J. Penn and Stanley Ink collaborated in the ‘60s. Penn was the creative mind, Ink represented the business aspects. The brand had a short run and no one knows what happened to the duo. Nothing was heard until Penn&Ink Brooklyn New York was born again, with us as its proud parents. The name fits perfectly with what we envision with our label. The American sense of basics in clothing, fashion that is both relaxed and comfortable, yet cosmopolitan. And Brooklyn NY itself has undergone a transformation in the past years. We like to go there for inspiration. Then we return to our nest.
